Real Estate Hunting
Sunday, January 31st, 2010 | Great Sites | Comments Off
In a down economy it’s the best time to find deals on all things real estate. People are more inclined to sell off valuable property at prices they would have never dreamed of selling for 10 years ago. The longer it takes the economy to bounce back the more likely you are to find people unloading homes, business properties and land at extremely low prices.
It’s important to not be in a hurry when you are seeking to buy real estate for yourself. This includes if you’re simply looking to invest or if you’re looking for an office or home for yourself. Hurried purchases or fear that someone will get a bid in on it before you can often lead to over spending. It’s best to take your time and plan out your goals as well as a budget before you break down and spend your hard earned money.
Some people are banking on buying low and selling high. When searching for an investment property it might not seem like a bad time to buy at all. If you can afford to own something now and pay on it until the economy fully flips back around you have a good chance of earning back a lot more cash than you’re putting in. The difficulty in doing this however, is that no one knows when the economy will become excellent again.
As always the best rewards come with a bit of a risk factor. If you can afford to invest now and wait to sell then you should probably consider investing in some great real estate at bargain prices. The risk as noted earlier is that you may have to hold onto that property for quite some time before you can make back a healthy gain. Optionally, you can rent the property out for now and at least earn some money back on it while you’re waiting.

Why I Like Cooking Fish
Sunday, January 31st, 2010 | Great Sites | Comments Off
Fish cooking has never been my favorite thing to do. It’s probably because I don’t have any easy fish recipes. The fish recipe I have tried to bake doesn’t turn out like the recipe.
My own recipe here is to take some tilapia or white fish, bake it after mixing the same with stouffers creamed spinach. Bake the fish at 400 degrees with cooked spinached from a pouch and it is done when it is flaky. Every likes it and it give a little color and taste to an otherwise bland fish. I bake it uncovered.
I would like to get more fish into my diet. grilled fish Recipe Ingredients: 600 gm fillet of Pomfret Fish 1 Lemon For marinade: 50 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 tbsp Lemon Juice 1 pod Garlic (minced) A few sprigs of Rosemary or Oregano Salt and pepper to season How to make Grilled Fish: For the marinade, mix all the ingredients though roughly in a mixing bowl and give it a good whisk. Put the cleaned fish fillet into the marinade, being certain that it is coated well. Then wait 45 to 60 minutes, use a medium flame to grill the fish in a non-stick pan.
Allow 2-3 minutes for each side, depending on the thickness of the fillet. Grilled fish is ready . Serve it with a squeeze of lemon and a big salad. The best salmon recipes tend to include lemon juice. The natural flavor of the fish was well worked with the acidity of the juice and paprika, dill, basil, and obviously salt and pepper.
No one is willing to get a bone stuck in his throat so better tell your diners against the same. It’s far healthier to bake the salmon even if the recipe calls for you to saute it. If you want to cut down on your fat intake, it’s best to bake or grill your food rather than fring it. Enjoy and bon appetite!
Who Were The Fathers Of The Barcode?
Saturday, January 30th, 2010 | Great Sites | Comments Off
The barcode may be everywhere today, but it is a relatively recent invention. Bernard Silver and Norman Woodland started working on the idea in the late 1940s. Silver was likely unaware that another inventor had developed a system using punch cards back in the 1930s.
Silver had a fairly clear idea of what needed to be done and he was obsessed enough to use his own money to find a system that worked. The first system he and Woodland developed used ultraviolet ink, but it proved both too expensive and untrustworthy, as the ink faded. He later claimed that Morse code gave him the inspiration that led to his first successful barcode design. He took the Morse code dots and dashes and put them in rows.
Of course having a system to read these codes was another matter. For this Silver adapted technology used for reading the sound scores on movie film. In 1949, the pair applied for a patent they received in 1952. By this time they had started working at IBM whose initial evaluation of the project concluded it was feasible but needed specific technological developments before it could be commercially viable.
Early barcode scanner prototypes indicated that the technology could work. The prototype was simply too large, and the technology for reducing it in size was unavailable in the 1950s. While IBM offered to purchase the patent for far less than it was worth, Silver and Woodland persevered. In 1962, Philco bought the patents. Unfortunately Bernard Silver died in a car crash the following year.
Even back then the need for a barcode scanner system capable of keeping track of inventory was significant. Two prime examples were grocery stores and railroads, but as it turned out a system for tracking individual items had application in almost any industry. The railroad industry, still very strong in those days, adopted a system similar to the barcode
The system used for rail cars was the work of David Collins working along with the Sylvania company. Collins tried to interest Sylvania in a smaller version of the system which could be used on anything, but Sylvania turned him down. As a result Collins left his arrangement with Sylvania and created his own company called Computer Identics Corporation. Meanwhile Philco sold the barcode patent rights to RCA.
Development began in earnest in the late 1960s, as the grocery industry now demanded such technology. Manufacturing was also becoming more complex and competitive and needed more sophisticated methods of inventory and asset control.
Collins’ Computer Identics quietly installed rudimentary, hand-built barcode and scanning systems in a General Motors (GM) plant in Michigan, and the General Trading Company in New Jersey. Meanwhile at RCA they were working on a laser-guided barcode system which was first installed at Kroger for testing. By the 1970s IBM became involved in barcode technology development again and put Norman Woodland in charge of their project. The rest, they say, is history.

Getting The Best Equipment ForYour Home Theater System
Friday, January 29th, 2010 | Great Sites | Comments Off
Home theaters are getting to be extremely popular among American homes. This modern technology is slowly giving movie theaters a run for their money. Basic knowledge of home theater system and its basic components may be best for people who want to bring home relaxation and entertainment.
The most important consideration in the design and complete set up of your home theater is the size of the room. The home theater speakers and the other components of your home theater may need to consider the size of the room. Too small rooms for your home theater may not require so many speakers. Only three speakers may be good if the room is quite small.
Do not overload your small room; you may not be able to get the entertainment and relation you want if you feel overloaded with so many home theater speakers. Because you only need three home theater speakers in your small room, you may need to acquire the high-end brand of home theater speakers to compliment the size of the room and the other equipments for hooking up home theater system.
If you have a bigger room however, the basic three home theater speakers may not be enough. You may need to put up to six speakers around the room, you may also consider complimenting your home theater speakers with subwoofer to complete the surround sound like in movie theaters. In addition to the speakers, you may also need to purchase a high-end television set which should not be smaller than 27 inches. It may not be reasonable if you buy a smaller television set because it may drown in the fineness of your home theater speakers.
Additionally, the blu ray home theater system needs to have a high quality, progressive scan DVD Player that may help provide sharp images and flicker-free pictures for your home theater system. The home theater speakers, television and DVD player are the basic components of a home theater system especially if the room is quite small.
However, for bigger room, adding home theater furniture and home theater projectors may be necessary to complete the package. Again, it may be worth it, if your home theater speakers are of high quality. This is because of the need to provide a surround sound for the home theater set up. The DVD player and the television set may answer for the requirement of sight in a movie theater setup. Your home theater speaker needs to answer for the sound requirement, and if your home theater speaker is not of high quality brand, it may not be able to do the job for you.
In order for you to avoid making mistakes in your choice of home theater equipments including home theater speakers, and home theater furniture, you may require the services of a home theater designer. They will be able to provide the best recommendation that will ensure you will get the most out of your home theater system including top notch home theater speakers.
Additional home theater furniture may be necessary to complete the package and to dress up the whole room. Since they are the designers, they will be able to recommend the best for your home theater system set up. If you have a properly designed home theater, you will be the best entertainment possible.
Your home theater designer may take on the huge responsibility of choosing the most suitable home theater ceiling speaker to attain the best design for your home theater.
Will Copacabana beach enjoy any Olympic events in 2016?
Friday, January 29th, 2010 | Great Sites | Comments Off
Most of the Olympic events at the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro will take place at three key areas.
Barra da Tijuca, the American style western suburb of Rio, will hold the swimming, water polo and the diving competition at the Aquatic Center. Barra will contain also the site of the Olympic Village itself where the Olympic athletes will be housed.
The Joao Havelange Stadium, north-west of the downtown, will stage the track and flied events.
And the most famous soccer stadium of Brazil, the Maracana, one of the largest stadiums in the world, will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2016 Olympic Games.
Along with the Deodoro Park, the third cluster of Olympic sites, where the modern pentathlon, white water events and mountain bike events will take place, is as Maracana in the northern zone of Rio.
Although the major competition venues are located in the above three neighborhoods, the legendary south coast beach areas of Rio de Janiero will be included in the staging grounds of the Olympic events as well.
Copacabana beach will host the Olympic volleyball, as it should. Copacabana waterfront and Flamengo Park will also be the site of triathlon and road cycling.
Rio de Janiero tried to bid for the games three times before but always failed, in 1936, 2004 and last in 2008 when it hoped to hold the games of 2012 eventually awarded to London, it is not new to hosting prominent sporting events, notably Soccer World Cup, Formula One races and Pan American Games.
Having persevered and finally won will no doubt repay the effort. The Olympic Games 2016 in Rio promise to be a grand occasion not to miss indeed.

The Web Design Process Unravelled: A Client Perspective
Thursday, January 28th, 2010 | Great Sites | Comments Off
Introduction
When I decided I needed a website for my business I had no idea of the planning involved. Like most people, I thought web design meant deciding on the graphics and the look of the pages and then by some magic it would all happen.
I have a friend who is in the business of web design and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) so I approached him for a quote. As a complete novice who is computer literate up to a point, I was amazed at the depth of initial questioning required to find out exactly what my requirements were.
I had no idea about the various aspects and the structure of the site and I found it mind blowing when I learned about the amount of work involved. So I thought other people would be interested to know more about this complicated process and I have asked my friend to supply the technical information for this article.
Stages in the Process
Target Audience
Before building a website there are important questions to consider. I was asked who would be my potential audience. Who are my customers likely to be? Would they be children, businesses, home owners, sales people, parents or teenagers and so on?
The objective of the website
Then I was asked, what was the objective of my website? Did I want to sell services on line or use it to market my business and get more leads for possible customers? Maybe I would want to use it as an online brochure to showcase products. Another possibility was to use the website to foster a community so that I was in contact with other like-minded people, with chat rooms, online discussion and being supported by advertising on the site.
I hadn’t quite realised the scope of a website but as I was asked these questions it became clear that a lot of careful planning went into the preparation before building a website.
How to be Found on the Web
One of the first questions I was asked was, ‘Do you want it to be found by Google the main search engine?’ If I did then there was a whole process of establishing Keywords. So finding the best keywords are vital if you want to be found in Google. Generally most users only look at the top ten results so you will also want to promote your website to get on this page for your chosen keywords. By using a keyword research tool you can find the single most popular keyword for your industry.
Your Domain Name
Choosing a domain name is often quite a problem because every name you initially come up with will almost certainly have been taken. Domain names ending in .com are by far the most popular and internationally recognised; the snag is that it’s very popularity means that the majority of the shorter names have already been registered.
So looking at names with endings such as .net; .co.uk or .info may be able to provide you with the domain name you want.
We were fortunate with our recent tanking website addressWhen choosing your domain name it is very important to include one or more of your keywords if possible as this can apparently help with search engine rankings. So although the name of your business is the obvious choice for a domain name, it is not necessarily the only option.
Creating a Site Map
As with any project you must have a plan, the better the plan the better the project turns out. A site map for a web site is part of the plan for the site. The importance of creating a site map is to get it clear in your mind of all the pages you will have on your website so you can prepare the content for each page and begin to design the flow through the website, such as when a user adds a product to their basket, then enters their delivery and billing address and makes the credit card payment in the correct order.
The aim is to make the site as simple to use as possible so that there are no barriers to getting into the website. For that reason often user name and passwordz are set for the customer so that they are not put off making a purchase by having to register.
For a non e-commerce site things are simpler with a contact form which allows you to receive enquiries by email without publishing your email address on the website, thus avoiding junk email.Web forms can also validate the information before you receive it, so ensuring that the phone number provided does not contain words, and that the email address is in the correct format, for example. These things may sound very technical to us lay-folk but I assure you everything has to be decided on before starting on the construction of the site.
Copy
The next stage is preparing the copy. This is not the design of your website - just the words and visuals you want to have one each of the pages.Having gathered all the previous information you will need to decide what imagery you want to use within the website content. As we all know, a picture speaks a thousand words and remains in people’s memory far longer than just words. For each image you should also have a caption, as the caption of an image is the next ‘most read’ words on the page after the page title. Images and their captions need to be clickable. When you click on a picture it should take you to the next stage of the process such as the sale page or placing an enquiry if your website is for lead generation.
Navigation
Another important aspect when building a website is how you want your navigation to work. You can have links within the content of your website, in the text, so there are not just links from the menu. You will need to decide whether the links will open into a new window, retaining your original page open. Next time you go online, you will realise how much thought has gone into the way in which a website works.
Website Design
Finally we come to the design of your website. According to my guaranteed SEO contact the design stage is the most difficult because everyone has different tastes.
What one person might like, another person might not like. If you are setting up a website for yourself alone then you will probably have some idea of what you want to see on the site. But if, as so often happens, the website is for a large corporation there will be inputs from many people or departments and you can be sure that they will never all agree!
There are a number of ways to approach web design but ultimately you need to create a design brief for the designer(s) to work from. Look at other websites and your competitor’s websites to find out what you like or dislike. The design brief should give reference to the logo, any existing brand guidelines or schemes and fonts and colour schemes, and should also detail which pages of the website that the designer is being tasked with creating visuals for.
The very best results will be achieved by using a graphic designer, and beware - not all graphic designers are the same. A graphic designer who designs specifically for print is working in a different discipline than a graphic designer who designs for screen and specifically the web. So choose your designer carefully, look at other work that person has done and determine whether or not you like their style.
If you are working in the big time and budget allows, use multiple graphic designers who have all been given the same design brief and request three concept designs from each designer. If the client themselves also do a graphic design, even if it’s a back of the envelope scribble, you will then have 10 concept designs. The next step is to get them all together and select the preferred elements from each design. Then give the work to the preferred graphic designer to work up as the final artwork.
The artwork should be finalised and agreed on by everybody before development of the site begins.
Production
Finally the preparation has been done and the site is ready to be built. Now for the more technical stuff! You will need to have decided which programming language to use to build the website. There are two main types for developing a website, one is Unix based, and the other is Windows based. Each one has pros and cons. If you are starting from scratch then it probably won’t matter, so you can go with the preference of your professional doing the work. My website is built on the Unix platform (apparently!) which is the same as many of the more well known websites such as Ebay, Facebook, Google and Amazon. Also your website hosting must be compatible with the development language with which your website is built.
Accessibility and Compliance
The website has to meet the current standards for website coding and doing so insures that disabled users, such as the visually impaired, can still access the entire website if they are using a Braille web browser.
Website Development
The best way to develop a website is on the web Server where the site is going to live. This way, those involved in reviewing the work can see work in progress and provide feedback throughout the development.
Unforeseen items
There are always some things that arise in any project which you suddenly realise you have forgotten, so no matter how well the web designer prepares and asks the right questions, there will always be a last minute change or addition. The main aim is to minimise the number of glitches that might arise because they aren’t calculated in and they could cause extra costs and delays on the date of the site going live.
Publishing Your New Website
The moment of excitement comes when your site finally gets launched and you see the results of all the thought that has gone into the whole process. I was obviously delighted to eventually see our hotels in Brighton site get published.
Reporting and Monitoring
Once your website is up and running, you might like to know how many people visit your website and from that number how many actually buy the products or place an enquiry. From these statistics you can work out the ratio of hits to sales and gradually make changes to improve the ratios. There are some reliable statistics packages such as Google Analytics or Web-Stat.com which allow you to collect and review website visitor data in near real time. All you need to do this is to have a small block of code inserted into each web page on your site.
Another useful service that Web-stat.com provides is to monitor the website and warn you by email or text message if the site goes down. Google Analytics doesn’t yet provide a comparable uptime monitoring service, maybe they just decided it was too much of a headache as it is an intensive service checking a website every 5 minutes to make sure it is still responding and indeed web-stat do promote this difference as one of their unique selling points but it is pretty hard to compete with free. In fact Google Analytics is not quite free, which makes it an even better marketing decision for Google because sometimes it is harder to give things away for free than it is to sell them! Google Analytics is a free service available to Google AdWords advertisers, you don’t actually have to have any AdWords campaigns running but it will cost you a one-time activation fee of £5 (or similar in your local currency) to open your AdWords account, but once you have done that you can go on to use Google Analytics for as many websites as you like.
Marketing
Once the website is live there are lots of things you can do to market your product or service. The first step is to submit it to the search engines and at the same time write articles, and press releases. Getting links to the site from forums, blogs and other social networking spaces are other options. For more on this subject ask your designer about SEO
Conclusion
Wheww. What an amazing amount of work! I hadn’t realised when I started the process of getting a website up and running, how complicated it all is and how many factors you have to consider before even designing the website. The word web design is really a misnomer, as people often think it’s just about the graphic design on the home page, and the branding of the product. Unless you are a computer buff, most people have no idea how much goes into designing and building a website and the systems that support the work you want it to do. I hope that this article will give readers an understanding and insight into the whole process of website development from start to finish.

What is MLM? - The multi-level marketing approach has existed for decades and is founded on the idea that when people network they can strengthen a company and increase sales together. Similar to the crazed pyramid terms, it is a process of a lead seller recruiting new blood under him or her to be part of the network as a whole, selling more products and making more money. The recruits will further recruit their own people under them to do the same thing. Ultimately, the network will branch down to sellers and consumers which will increase sales exponentially. From the lead seller, everyone branching down under him is called his downline, and it is up to him as the lead seller to nurture his downline to encourage them to continue recruitment and sales to benefit, not only him, but those which are a part of the whole network.
Quick Note: If you want to start your business right then get the best kept secrets to succeeding online with your mlm business. Get The mlm training online that will get you where you need to be, and with the best kept mlm secrets online you can start making cash faster and easier. What is so unique about MLM? - What makes MLM so unique is that the training basically teaches every member of the network how to be a good salesperson and entrepreneur. When you become a part of an MLM company you will find that you will be learning new skills that will help you, not only in selling MLM products, but in enhancing your own personality and outlook as well. There have been instances that the shyest of people has become the most charismatic motivational speaker encouraging hundreds of other sellers like him to take that extra step forward in MLM to enhance his life in general. Many times, MLM is about values that you want to impart to others so that they benefit from a product. One great example is Amway which puts importance on the meaning of family and locally made products.
How can I be a part of an MLM company? - The best advice here is for you to do thorough research into the different MLM companies that you may be interested in joining. Finding out how products sell and how those same products are ones that you would use for your own personal gain and how you can promote that to others. Attend seminars of motivational speakers and find out more about the MLM scheme and how it can benefit you. These seminars will also give you a good idea about the different values that the company adheres to and you can decide if these values are in line with your own. Read up on the motivational speakers and find out more about the legitimacy of the MLM company by requesting information on them at the appropriate government agencies that register MLM companies. Learn more about the financial benefits and determine whether these financial reports claimed by the company are in line with what they report at their annual reporting to government agencies. Getting full research into what different MLM companies are about will help you make up your mind later on if this livelihood option is something you might consider later.

Identifying Ovarian Cyst Symptoms

Our species is tough, resilient and durable. Human expected average lifespan is now over 80 years in most developed countries, with more centenarians every year. Expanding scientific, biological and medical knowledge is now showing us that there are more factors than the more obvious short term effects of diet and stress. There are also important (and sometimes subtle) long term effects that should be considered
In nutrition, this means that there is a minimum amount of Vitamin C we need to keep from getting scurvy. So the recommended daily amount of Vitamin C was once set just high enough to keep people from getting scurvy. Later we began to realize that while low amounts of vitamin C kept us from getting sick, they did not promote optimal health.
The cycle for getting scurvy is measured in months. But the goal in nutrition is not just to avoid obvious short-term vitamin-deficiancy diseases. It is to promote optimum health, energy levels and well being. For that we need many times the scurvy-prevention level of Vitamin C intake.
There are other, longer-lasting cycles of effects of deprivations of nutrients, antioxidants, phytochemicals, probiotics and others that affect us. These deprivations can lead to diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease and maybe alzheimer’s disease and others.
