Blogging Traffic A Bit Of Give And Take

Monday, November 30th, 2009 | Great Sites | Comments Off

Blogging traffic is a give and take relationship. Sometimes one of the best ways to get traffic to your blog is by visiting someone else ’s blog.

Go to their blog and read one of their entries, or read a few of them. Chances are that you are going to find something that you have in common.

When you find something that you find truly interesting on a blog, leave a comment so that they know that you were there. One of the best known blogs available is LiveJournal.

A great feature of LiveJournal is that you can search for interests on their site and it will come up with results of those who have that interest.

Are you interested in horseback riding? You can see what other bloggers are interested in horseback riding as well. When you are commenting on someone’s post, you want to make sure that you don’t leave generic comment.

If you like the post, say something about what you read in the post. After you have commented on the person’s post, then you can say something like, “I really like horseback riding too. I had a similar experience to yours.”

and then use it to link back to your journal. You can do this with an acchor text such as gogvo or malta holidays.

But be sure that you sound sincere when you are commenting, and don’t make them feel like you’re just fishing for traffic.

By following these strategies, you will get yourself some free web traffic but if someone thinks that you are using their blog to get more traffic to yours, they won’t visit your site and your efforts will be wasted.

Olympic sports dropped and added

Monday, November 30th, 2009 | Great Sites | Comments Off

At the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro there will be 28 official Olympic sports, two more than at the next games in London in 2012. The two sports that will be added will be golf and rugby. There were actually 28 sports at the Beijing games  but two sports were dropped from the games, baseball and softball.

OK, golf is widely played around the world though it is a sport that is not exactly reserved for the masses  on account of needing manicured golf courses and we all know how much money goes into that, not to mention the big bucks it costs to belong to a country club, take lessons and buy the proper equipment.

Rugby, OK, let’s have it at the Rio games, it is played by quite a number of nations though at the games they will have the rugby sevens, an offshoot of rugby played by teams of only seven players rather than the classic rugby made of 15 players on each team. I hope Papua and New Guinea will make it as they do have a regular rugby team, and the sevens is played by unlikely teams as Uganda, Brazil, Japan and Thailand.

I like the participation of obscure nations in the Olympic Games as that’s the way it should be. For example it’s good people notice Bhutan is competing in archery, their national sport, and they are good at it, or that Jamaica actually has a bob sled team, I think that’s great.

The American women cried that softball was dropped from the Olympic Games. The American team pitcher Lisa Fernandez actually complained the decision will ruin the lives of millions, actually billions of women, she said! Well, the American team was beating up on all the other teams so bad that the IOC had to look at that scenario, as was the lack of participation among nations to begin with, hence not sure where these billions of women she had in mind are to come from.

Archery was rightfully added as Olympic sport because indeed the sport is a one kind of sport that has been part of man’s skills globally, regardless of his culture, remote cultures included, for almost as long as man has been a hunter.

Related to the premise that global reach of the sport is important in order to add it to the Olympic program, the tug of war event, which was part of the Olympic Games in the early 20th century, then dropped, should be reinstated. In fact this is one sport which all nations should be required to participate in at the games as all nations can pull on a rope regardless of how poor they may be.

On the other hand, while tennis has been added it is doubtful the Olympic Games gold medal will ever surpass the meaning of a Wimbledon or US Open trophy, hence why bother when even the diehards of tennis care a less if Federer will win the Olympic gold medal.

I always love to write about all the different kind of interest topics. I do not have a favorite topic in mind, but I really enjoy writing about just almost anything right now. I’m starting an online business and writing about various topics. I have been known to write about credit cards, insurance, Spanish, English, Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, German and other languages. I speak several different languages and currently I’m going to school for a bachelors.

When I’m done with school. I will continue to do SEO work and wright various articles. I enjoy, writing articles, because I’m able to learn more about the topics that I’m not very familiar with. Of course I have to learn about the topics first and research on the internet, and then I am able to go about and write about what I have learned on that topic. For example, if I am learning or if I am going to write an article about such topic. First I go online and I research, that topic. Sometimes it takes, me, several minutes because I am somewhat familiar with it already. It depends, though how good you’re with the topic. Sometimes it might take me an hour or more to learn about the topic. Either way, I am continuing my education.

I look at all kinds of sites. I like to look at sites like yahoo answers, Google News, Yahoo news, CNN, Fox news, press releases and other reference materials. Anyway, after I have researched the topic well and that I can write something from off the top of my head. To give you an example this time I will write about www.babysofttoys.org. Then, I write this is down in front of my computer and I begin typing. I’d like to type out then run through it once again to make sure it flows nicely and check for grammatical errors. In the article I will be sure to include useful information to readers, informing them . After that I’m done.

Then I am done. I will set the article side and maybe wait a few hours, sometimes the day and I’ll get back to it later with fresh eyes and a good night’s sleep, and I’ll see the article, and again review it for any errors or any changes or anything. I like to see if it might sound better if it were put in other words, sometimes more precise and condensed. Then I’m ready to publish what I wrote, so I find the place where I want to publish it, and I submit the article. They’ll review after it’s finished and that’s about all then. It. Usually its accepted and I can go on in the next topic of choice. After the readers have the information, about baby soft toys, then they can make a smart choice.

Income Tax Return Clarification

Monday, November 30th, 2009 | Great Sites | Comments Off

What is this that’s called the income tax return? Each spring we file federal and state income tax returns. We all know about filing our taxes, paying them, and getting our tax refund, but somehow the term “tax return” is not always clearly understood.

The situation begins in January through March of every year when workers receive their wage and tax withholding statement from their employers. Those in school will receive statements of tuition, scholarship, and aid information covering the previous calendar year. An income tax return form is then used to take the amount earned and figure out the correct dollar amount of taxes for which the individual is liable.

Although a person filing the forms detailing income, deductions, and taxes may have some or all of their withheld taxes returned to them, that is not what is meant by the term “income tax return”. Actually, what “tax return” refers to is three parted. First, you are letting the government know, or are returning a report on, how much you made in the previous year. Next you are stating how much you have paid in taxes, up till the end of the year. Finally, your return lists the tax hit that you must pay.

So in going through this tax return process many people show that they have overpaid their income tax and therefore have a refund coming. The alternative is of course, that there was not enough money withheld, or that the quarterly payments fell short of estimates and now a payment is owed.

To summarize, the phrase “income tax return” is referring to the document that you fill out and send to the IRS and to your state tax department.

Selecting the Correct Wetsuit

Friday, November 27th, 2009 | Great Sites | Comments Off

A quality wetsuit is a enlightened investment for a water sports fanatic like you. But before you even determine to buy one, you first need to ascertain its specified purpose. Certainly, it will shield you from getting hypothermia or chilling as you try out the waves or check out a particular marine life. However, getting the right suit would mean understanding how long you usually submerge your body aquatic, how much time you spend enjoying your preferred water sports activity.

The thickness of wetsuit materials matters in picking out the proper suit. In this regard, the optimal pick would depend upon the area that you plan to dive or surf. In cooler regions like Australia and North Atlantic, thicker materials would be urged to get greater water insulation and thermal security. Less thick forms are ordinarily advocated for tropical diving locations.

Two of the more fashionable makes are Rip Curl wetsuits and Body Glove wetsuit, these brand names have been associated with being one of the highest quality providers of such types of gear. These brand names have several thickness variants to cater to the needs of divers, surfers, etc. Being on the vanguard of the industry, each company understands that all wetsuit should adhere to the several temperatures and conditions of several activities.

While wetsuits are conventionally accessible in adult sizes, kids wetsuits are now purchasable in a corresponding range of designs and makes. With similar thermal regulation features, kids wetsuits now grant the young ones to savor their well-loved water sports activities.

To handle diving in low temperature waters, divers are suggested to don a full suit. A full suit, also called ‘shorty’, is a manner of suit that seems similar to a ladies’ suit. It does not fully reach or cover the neck, therefore the term shorty.

Regardless of who the wearer of the wetsuit is, full suits are highly advocated for deep sea dives. These suits offer perfect shelter from circumstances when the body is subjected to temperatures as low as 20 degrees Celsius. Aside from deep ocean diving, full suits are also fantastic for surfers. Even when you are wiped out after an exciting ride on the waves, it keeps your body warm, in and out of the ocean.

Wetsuits are fashioned to keep cold water temperatures external to the suit. However, it is not good to assume that it can reflect the radiation from the sun. To be on the safe side, look at using suntan lotion on your skin before wearing your wetsuit.

Therefore, before you pick out which type of suit you should purchase, you need to first think about the region and circumstance of the diving or surfing site that you frequent. That way, you will determine whether or not a thick suit or a full suit can supply the kind of thermal protection that you want. Also, you must think about your budget when picking out which suit to acquire. With all these considerations in mind, it will be easy for you to pick the best wetsuit for you.
